Holistic Coaching Session
Summary
About this therapy
1:1 holistic coaching session.
I am a Therapist and a Holistic Coach.
My approach involves the use of embodiment and somatic work and depth psychology to bring about transformation and self-awareness. I believe traditional therapy is often very limited in its scope, and have developed a method which looks at the personal, historical and cultural influences on an individual's life.
Without this holistic approach so much can be missed. In my experience we all have an innate longing to know who we really are, and what it means to be human. I have been helping people to understand these two aspects of our existence for over ten years, beginning with young ex-offenders and since then with men and women of all ages (12+).

Working with James has been an absolute privilege. The work that we've done together has allowed me to re-frame so many aspects of my life, and view events in a different context. It has helped me to make sense of what I had considered senseless, and to see ways forward, where I'd previously seen none. Our work was at times challenging, but thanks to James's expertise, patience, warmth, humanity and all-round professionalism, it always felt a safe and welcoming environment to be in. The impact that our work together has had on my life, is immeasurable. I genuinely cannot recommend James highly enough.Rebecka M: This was my first experience of embodiment work, and it was equally gentle and insightful. James tailored the content to the group so it was a good mix practice and background theory, and I came away from the workshop with some new reflections and techniques to explore at home.

I really appreciated his calm, compassionate and wise insights into the emotional and social challenges that serious illness can pose. He always held space for me to talk through the very big and complex emotions I was experiencing. I particularly appreciated the integration of somatic exercises alongside the discussions we had. He helped me to remain stable and composed during an extremely tumultuous time in my life.Making Lemonade: What a powerful experience! I found the experiential exercises on his Embodiment Workshop, highly illuminating and enabled me to connect deeply with myself and the others in the group. One week later and I have noticed a profound shift in my energy levels. I feel lighter, more energised and I’ve re-connected with my yoga practise that I lost touch with over a year ago. Thank you James for creating a beautiful and safe space to allow these shifts and for sharing this powerful wisdom. I have already used some of these insights with my counselling clients and I look forward to working with you again.
