Nigel is a qualified and experienced breathing trainer having qualified with the world-leading Oxygen Advantage and Buteyko International Clinic. He is also a forest bathing guide (qualified member of The Forest Bathing Institute UK), life coach, NLP practitioner, mindfulness and meditation coach and a mind detox coach.
Nigel has his own wellbeing consultancy, where he works on a 1-2-1 basis or with groups and teams. He has helped many people with challenges such as stress, anxiety, panic attacks, sleep disorders, challenges with focusing, fatigue, poor physical stamina, menstrual and menopausal symptoms, long-covid and other breath-related illnesses. He also supports corporate teams, local charities, social and sporting teams with wellbeing workshops and team building.
Nigel’s parents and wider family have a history of mental health and special needs challenges and therefore he has some insight into how it impacts the individual and the connected loved ones. He has adopted children who are now adults. They both experienced adverse experiences in their birth family and spent time in the foster care system and there are also some special educational needs and accompanying diagnoses that have and continue to require support.
Prior to his wellbeing career, Nigel spent many years working in the corporate world as a senior marketing executive but, after a bout of unexpected illness which conventional medicine did not seem able to cure, he started to explore alternative therapies and found that changing his breathing style combined with relaxed time in nature made his symptoms disappear. He then embarked on a journey of self-discovery and trained in breathing therapy, mindfulness, meditation and forest bathing.
Nigel has worked with a variety of individuals and corporate clients and is passionate about helping all of them achieve new levels of wellbeing, whether from learning to breathe properly, becoming more mindful, managing stress or reconnecting with nature or a combination.

I cannot recommend Nigel highly enough. His breathing techniques have really helped me understand my breathing and with the exercises I have really improved my overall fitness levels, noticed significant improvement with my asthma as well as my sleeping pattern as a result.
Nigel at The Breathing Studio really knows his stuff when it comes to helping you to use your breath properly. He is an excellent mentor, making it easy to master the techniques he teaches you.
I first met Nigel through continuing my health and fitness journey that I have been on for a few years. I knew I needed to breath better. Nigel helped me enormously with my fitness levels by providing me with excellent 1-2-1 exercises. My 5KM PB has now reduced to below 24 minutes as a result. I found Nigel to be a thoroughly engaging and caring individual and through our meetings we discussed other issues I wasn’t previously considering like anxiety and meditation. I now meet with Nigel’s meditation group and I’m really looking forward to continuing on this journey as Nigel expands his repertoire with other wellbeing adventures.
