Chapter 1

The Underpass

Loz and I have a favorite walking route that takes us through an underpass. Whenever it rains, this underpass turns into a muddy bog, often forcing us to find an alternate route. One autumn day, fed up with the inconvenience, I decided to take action. With a bit of determination, I laid down a brick and some wood, creating makeshift stepping stones.

Chapter 2: The First Steps

Our friend, who also frequents this path, noticed my efforts and began contributing his own pieces of wood. It was heartening to see our small bridge take shape, each addition making the path more navigable. Then, to our delight, someone laid down a load of stones. Our humble bridge was becoming a reality, solving a problem and allowing locals to continue their walks without disruption.

Chapter 3: The Spark

As the bridge grew, I couldn't help but think of the Law of Attraction and the famous quote from *Field of Dreams*: "If you build it, they will come." Our collective effort was making a tangible difference, and it felt like a small victory each time we crossed the underpass.

Chapter 4

The Surprise

After a few days of rain, I approached the underpass with trepidation, wondering about its state. To my astonishment, I discovered that the council had built a proper bridge. I marvelled at the transformation and pondered at whether it all started with that first piece of wood and brick I laid down. As I continued my walk, the word "WOW" echoed in my mind.

Chapter 5: The Vision

Reflecting on our journey with WOW, I realised how, one step at a time, one WOW experience at a time, we have been building something extraordinary. This made me wonder if, like the council, a big investor or company might notice our efforts and provide the resources to elevate and scale WOW into something beyond our wildest dreams.

Chapter 6: The Origins

Where does any story begin? Is it with the first word in chapter one, or is the starting point somewhere else? Perhaps what is of most importance is that there is a story at all. And We Offer Wellness has one.

Chapter 7

The Idea

Over the Winter of 2022, Ian found himself forming the idea of building a company full of Wellness Experiences. A go-to place where people could purchase an ‘experience’ for a loved one, rather than a present which had a high chance of being put in a cupboard and forgotten about! This would solve all his present-buying woes – saving hours of trawling the internet for inspiration.

Chapter 8: The Spark

The wellness experiences would be delivered by practitioners who, like himself, are passionate about what they do and value the benefits of wellness. The idea started to take shape, connections were made, and with the support of Ian’s wife, Lorraine (also a Holistic Therapist), something was evolving.

Chapter 9: The Formation

This chance meeting led to the formation of We Offer Wellness with Ian, Lorraine, Dan, and Tasha each sharing the vision of a go-to wellness platform, on a scale unlike anything attempted before. The first chapter of We Offer Wellness was written.

Chapter 10: The Launch

On 03/03/2023, We Offer Wellness was launched with over 100 Wellness Providers and more than 500 Wellness Experiences. In the first 8 weeks since launching, We Offer Wellness had over 50,000 visits, more Providers joined up, and new experiences were added (both in-person and online) from many locations across the UK and the world.

Chapter 11: The Future

The next phase of WOW is almost here. Whether we launch on Monday, Tuesday, or any other day, we know that because we have built it, they will come. Each step we've taken has brought us closer to realising our vision, and the journey continues to inspire us every day.
